ALAS Residency

After five years of providing artists’ professional development support Matt Roberts has launched ALAS, as a means of sharing knowledge about ways in which artists can gain exhibition experience and exposure for their practice. The ALAS professional development residency consists of over 100 hours of lectures and one-to-one tuition from our team and guest lecturers over a three week period, followed by a two week exhibition.

ALAS - Summer Residency 2013

The ALAS Summer Residency will take place between 8th July and the 10th August 2013. The residency offers genuine exchange, mentoring, dialogue and critical feedback from our team and established art world professionals. An added benefit of the programme is the opportunity to form peer relationships with other UK and international artists to share knowledge and develop future opportunities together. 

There are a maxiumum of 20 places available. Applications from outside of London are encouraged and we will advise on suitable accommodation where necessary. To apply please email the application form and 2-3 images of work to info@alasgallery.co.uk and pay the residency fee of £480 or initial instalment of £160 by Saturday 2nd March 2013

Successful applicants will be asked to bring 1-2 works in progress which will be completed in our studio facilities and exhibited at the Matt Roberts Arts gallery spaces, 25b Vyner St, London, E2 9DG (formerly Nettie Horn / Vilma Gold).
